I’m glad you’re here checking out what we do here at Willow Creek Community Church - North Shore. As Director of Community Care I oversee the workshops (which include Solutions and Divorce Recovery), the prayer ministry, and Benevolence. I am also directing a new venture called One2one Care Ministry where several of us from the church will be able to come alongside hurting individuals for a period of time and walk with them toward a healthier place in their lives.
I love to lead workshops as well as work with individuals as a life skills coach. The greatest thrill for me is to see God’s truth come alive in participants as they grasp and apply the materials we present each week.
My educational background includes being a Certified Life Skills Coach (Coach Training Institute and American Association of Christian Counselors), a Certificate in Medical Assisting and degrees from the University of Minnesota in Interior Design and German.
Prior to working at Willow I worked as a life skills coach, a medical clinical team leader, and an interior designer. I’ve been involved in Bible studies and small groups all of my adult life. In working at Willow Creek Community Church - North Shore I have the opportunity to put all of my previous experience to work. It is most fulfilling!
I married my husband, Perry, in a 15th century village church in Berlin, Germany. We have lived in Iran, Greece, Arizona, Minnesota, New Jersey, California, and twice in Illinois. Chicago is definitely home for us. We have two grown sons.
