Brandon Rickard
Student Ministries Director
I am responsible for our Student Ministries teams, both staff and volunteer, here at Willow Creek Community Church - North Shore since 2007. I work with both our Elevate and Impact programs on the weekend, where I get the privilege to teach on a regular basis. I absolutely love my job and feel so pumped to be spending time expanding God’s kingdom in the lives of junior high and high school students on the North Shore. The team I get to work with is incredible and we are blessed to be eyewitnesses to God’s work in students’ lives and hearts. My primary spiritual gifts are Shepherding, Teaching, and Faith.
My wife, Wendy, and I have been married since 2005, and we have two children: Abigail, born in 2008, and Paul, born in 2010. I came to the Chicago area to attend Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and graduated with my Masters of Divinity Degree in 2007.
A little trivia about me: I grew up in a very small town named Imlay City, Michigan. The town is actually smaller than many of the high schools that our students attend. I am a huge University of Michigan fan, as well as all things Detroit (Pistons, Lions, Red Wings and Tigers). Being a fan of the Lions my entire life is definitive proof that loyalty is one of my strongest character traits, through thick and extremely thin. One of my main functions on our staff is to increase the overall hilarity level and increase job satisfaction through laughter (mostly at my own expense!).
