Wes-Up! I was born and raised 7 miles from the lake home of Johnny Cash in the great metropolis of Hendersonville, TN. In 2002 I graduated from Union University in Jackson, TN with a BA in Christian Studies. My lovely bride Katie and I were married in late 2002 and have a daughter, Mary Addison (2009). What I miss most about the south since moving to Chicagoland mid 2004 is the 1c sugar to 1 gallon ice tea ratio.
My first children’s ministry role came at the age of 12 when I lead a small group of kids through a week of summer day camp. Since then I’ve responded to God’s call into full time vocational ministry and am extremely blessed to serve the kids, parents, and volunteers here at Willow Creek Community Church - North Shore.
I am responsible for teaching kids who our great God is and how to have a lasting relationship with Him. What I love most about my job is sharing my passion for Christ and kids with the most fabulous volunteers on the North Shore. Together we grow the kingdom of God one life at a time.
